There are many complications throughout Frankenstein, but the most common one is that pesky monster that keeps causing people to die. Whether he simply murders them, or has them killed indirectly, many people have died at the hands of Frankenstein's monster, leading him to be considered the main complication of the novel. Each death by him furthers Frankenstein's grief, and pushes the story towards the climax. While Frankenstein desperately wants to stop all of the killing, he does not know how, seeing as the monster is far stronger than he could ever be. The monster eventually becomes enraged with Frankenstein and vows to visit him on his wedding night. This poses the same problem, however, the stakes are higher than they have ever been before. Frankenstein is under the impression that now he will be forced to fight the monster in an effort to avoid being killed, but instead, he loses his beloved wife by the monsters hands. And that's when it became go time.
